Randstad is seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Underground Mining Engineer to join our mining client’s Technical Services team.

Reporting to the team superintendent, the Snr Underground Mining Engineer and is responsible for leading a team of Mining engineers and designing, planning and executing technical mining activities. This role is crucial for ensuring production outcomes meet targets and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a small team of mining engineers
• Design of drilling, blasting and production plans
• Liaising with all stakeholders to ensure drill and blast designs meet site requirements
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure drill and blast activities are achieved in a safe and efficient manner
• Review of drilling, blasting and production plans as required
• Undertake QA/QC monitoring for production activities
• Undertaking stope reconciliations/abandonments on completion
