About Echo Pond Echo Pond Environmental Education Centre is a unique hub for environmental education and outdoor adventure. Nestled in the beautiful boreal “Fog Forest” of the Avalon Peninsula (about 1 hour 15 minutes from St. John’s), we host 2-day overnight field trips where school groups engage in hands‑on, experiential learning to connect with nature and bring classroom lessons to life.
