The Estimation Engineer Joinery is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions for custom joinery and millwork projects. This commercially critical role analyzes tender documents, generates detailed material and labour takeoffs, and compiles bid packages that win profitable contracts for JW SPACE.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze tender drawings, specifications and scope documents to develop detailed joinery cost estimates.
- Produce comprehensive material takeoffs for all joinery items: boards, veneers, laminates, solid timber, hardware, glass, and finishing materials.
- Prepare labour and workshop production cost estimates based on joinery types, complexity, and fabrication hours.
- Solve, compare, and tabulate supplier and subcontractor quotations for materials and specialist finishes.
