Excavator Operator

Cameron Quarry is a growing, family-owned operation in the Western Bay of Plenty, part of the broader Cameron Group, a diversified family business with roots deep in this community. We're looking for an Excavator Operator who takes pride in doing the job properly, holds themselves to a high standard, and wants to be part of a team they can be proud of.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Excavator operation — precision bench and batter work to grade, forming and maintaining quarry faces to specification
• GPS machine control — operating with UniControl GPS system to achieve design levels and grades accurately and efficiently
• Face management — maintaining correct bench heights, safe face geometry, and accurate material separation to minimise rehandle and rework
• Material quality — identifying unexpected material types or geological changes and reporting concerns to the supervisor immediately
• Pre-start checks — completing thorough daily...
