POSITION SUMMARY
The Excavator Operator performs trenching, grading, and material handling for utility, roadway, and site preparation projects. This role operates excavators of various sizes with multiple attachments, following survey layouts, grade stakes, and project specifications. Work includes digging, backfilling, loading trucks, placing structures, and maintaining OSHA-compliant trench protection. Operators must work safely around utilities, spotters, and active traffic while meeting production and quality standards.
YOUR ROLE
- Operate excavators for trenching, grading, backfilling, and material loading according to project layouts and specifications.
- Read and follow grade stakes, bluetops, flow line information, and engineered cut sheets to achieve precise elevations.
