Exploration geologist (gold mining)

Role Overview

As the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will lead field exploration programs from target generation to resource definition. You will be responsible for designing drilling programs, managing geological data, and mentoring junior staff, ensuring all gold mineralization models are accurate and compliant with international reporting codes.

Key Responsibilities Program Management: Plan, execute, and supervise greenfield and brownfield exploration drilling programs (diamond, RC, and aircore) Geological Modeling: Develop and update robust 3 D geological and structural models to guide exploration vectors and define high-grade gold targets Data Governance: Oversee QA/QC protocols, logging, sampling, and assay database management to ensure the highest integrity of resource data Team Leadership: Mentor and manage field geologists, geotechnicians, and contract crews to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency.
