Farm Manager (SWINE)

Directs all day-to-day operations of a pig production facility. They oversee the breeding, farrowing, and finishing processes, enforce strict biosecurity protocols, manage farm staff, and maintain profitability while ensuring top-tier animal welfare.

Core Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production schedules for breeding, gestation, farrowing, nursery, and finishing stages to maximize throughput and growth rates.
• Collaborate with veterinarians to execute vaccination, treatment, and diagnostic programs. Monitor animal behavior, ensuring compliance with animal welfare standards.
• Strictly enforce and monitor biosafety protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
• Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff. Set employee schedules and evaluate performance to maintain a safe, productive work environment.
