Fiber Optic Splice Technician

RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our team as aFiber Splicing Technician . The successful candidates will be involved in our day-to-day operations, including the preparation and installation of fibre internet infrastructure, maintaining, repairing, and connecting separate fibre runs.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Splice and test fiber optic cables in all inside/outside plant applications – buried and underground; both on newly placed cable and existing cables
• Analyze test results and have the ability to troubleshoot and correct any faults or defects
• Interpret and understand placing and splicing work plans
• This position requires that the individual be motivated and self-disciplined, able to work on their own or closely with other team members to optimize efficiency to ensure that the client’s due date(s) are met
• Experience as a Fiber Optic Splicer is an asset but will train right ...
