This isn‘t just a school problem anymore. NEP 2020 made career guidance a core part of schooling, and CBSE has now revised its affiliation rules to make appointing a career counsellor mandatory — guidance is expected to begin as early as Class 6. But schools have almost no infrastructure to deliver it, and college students hit the same wall again at the next fork in the road. The gap between policy and reality is enormous.
