We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Hewell, a category B remand prison based in Redditch, Worcestershire. HMP Hewell has a fast‑paced healthcare environment delivering care to males aged 21+, with a range of needs including substance misuse and long‑term conditions. Within this role you will work closely with senior nurses to deliver reception care which includes first‑night prescribing, discharge prescribing, urgent follow‑up for duty doctor, and substance‑misuse prescribing. 
About The Role Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community. As a GP, your responsibilities will vary and offer opportunities for advanced learning in areas not commonly encountered in general practice or A&E. 
Hours Monday 17:30 – 21:30 
Tuesday 17:30 – 21:30 
Friday 17:30 – 21:30
