The CNIO is seeking for an experienced specialist in genomics to manage and lead the Genomics Core Unit providing support to CNIO Research Groups.
The main duties of the Unit Head would be:
• Provide scientific and technical advice to CNIO researchers in research projects requiring the application of deep sequencing technologies and any other approaches related to genomics analysis
• Provide support to CNIO researchers in the analysis of data derived from those technologies
• Implement or develop new technologies and methodological approaches in this area, integrating emerging genomic and precision medicine tools into the service portfolio
• Ensure that the Unit keeps up to date with the technological innovations in the field
• Propose and develop research projects aligned with the strategic interests of the CNIO, providing opportunities for the scientific and technical development of the Unit
