TITLE: Health Information Management Clerk

DEPARTMENT : Health Information Management

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Primary responsibilities are to assist with the daily functioning of the Health Information Department. Duties include scanning and uploading information into the electronic medical record, assist with scheduling resident appointments, and filing.

DUTIES:



+ Treat medical records with confidentiality.

+ Retrieves and files charts and other information as directed.

+ Assists with scheduling and outside physician visits/ appointments and consultations; arranges transportation as needed; and notifies appropriate individuals of the dates and times.. Prepares consult packages as needed.

+ Switchboard relief, as needed

+ Scans and uploads various medication information into the electronic medical record system (physician consults, documentation, etc)
