Key Responsibilities
- Act as project/programme manager for highway maintenance and improvement schemes
- Supervise and provide technical oversight to Clerks of Works and site-based staff
- Plan and deliver works programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
- Apply strong engineering judgement to make informed technical decisions on design, materials, and delivery methods
- Undertake and oversee site inspections, condition assessments, and feasibility studies
- Promote and implement preventative maintenance techniques to extend asset life and reduce long-term costs
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and industry standards
