Housekeeper

To ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hospice, through adhering to recognised policies and procedures. To be able to work unsupervised across the hospice building. To work alongside the other departments and teams across the Hospice. To ensure confidentiality at all times.

Main duties of the job

Managing the day-to-day housekeeping workload to ensure timely completion of work. Perform all housekeeping duties in the Hospice building as required, Use the cleaning schedules to ensure all work is undertaken and recorded as per policies and procedures. Observe specialist cleaning requirements in relevant areas (e.g in-patient unit, and treatment rooms) as instructed, to ensure a high degree of cleanliness and minimise the risk of cross infection.
