The Government of Northwest Territories (GNWT) recognizes the importance of building a public service that is inclusive and reflective of the population it serves. The objective of the Indigenous Career Gateway Program is to target external Indigenous candidates who are residents of the NWT for entry-level employment and trainee opportunities with the GNWT.
Applicants are asked to identify their priority under the Indigenous Employment Policy:
- Stage One Priority (S1P)
Indigenous individuals who are recognized members and descendent of a First Nations, Métis, or Inuit people indigenous to the present boundaries of the Northwest Territories - Stage Two Priority (S2P)
Indigenous individuals who are recognized members and descendent of a First Nations, Métis, or Inuit people indigenous to areas of Canada outside of the present boundaries of the Northwest Territories
