Industrial Engineering - Trainee

This position manages manufacturing resources applied to objectives of one or more manufacturing sections or shift(s).

• Assist the Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Manager to perform activities related to continuous improvement projects.
• Develop strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce waste, and perform line balancing.
• Monitor Manufacturing Procedures and make changes as required.
• Install new equipment or technology to improve efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5’S of the area.
• Carry out the design, purchase and installation of equipment that helps improve efficiency or the product.
• Develop concepts and designs to bring innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Work with External Engineering Companies preparing the specifications of the machinery for the purchase of the equipment.
