Role and Facility Information

The Department of Medicine at Eagle Ridge Hospital (ERH) is recruiting a general internist skilled in the management of complex inpatients.

Responsibilities include a combination of clinical care, teaching and quality improvement, with a mix of duties depending on the successful candidate’s background and job profile. The new internist will join two existing physicians in an established High Acuity Unit/Monitored Care Unit (MCU). Duties will include new consults and MRP rounding. The candidate should be comfortable with critical‑care skills to cover our MCU, cardiology to cover telemetry patients, and general internal medicine. On average, the shift will see 3‑5 new patients per day and involve rounding on 12‑15 patients. The MCU internist will also staff the IM Rapid Access Clinic (RAC). All RAC overhead, including office space and MOA, is covered by the hospital.
