Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory Analysis and Optimization
- Analyze 24-36 months of consumption data across all storage locations to establish accurate demand baselines by item and business unit.
- Apply appropriate forecasting models based on demand patterns including moving average, linear trend, seasonal decomposition and Crostons method for intermittent demand.
- Calculate optimal safety stock levels considering lead time, supplier reliability, service level targets and item criticality.
- Classify inventory into categories such as Good Stock, Slow Moving, Overstocked and Obsolete based on defined thresholds.
- Develop an item-level action matrix with clear recommendations for each stock category.
- Identify surplus inventory and consolidation opportunities by mapping stock against alternate item usage.
