IT Systems Administrator

We are recruiting on behalf of an established engineering and technical services company for an on-site IT Systems Administrator based in Cape Town (Tokai). This is the company's first dedicated IT hire — you'll own day-to-day IT at the office, work alongside an external managed services provider, and partner with the CTO to keep systems healthy, secure, and well-documented.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Act as daily liaison with the managed services provider: stand-ups, ticket flow, SLA follow-through, and clear comms during incidents


• Manage identity and collaboration across Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, including provisioning, access, MFA/Conditional Access, and sharing controls


• Administer Windows endpoints: baseline image, updates, compliance, encryption, and asset lifecycle


• Support networking and connectivity: firewalls, enterprise Wi-Fi, and VPN/remote access
