Java Software Engineer – Portugal

Location: Portugal (Relocation support)

Contract Length: 3‑6 months (likely to extend)

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Java Developer, with a strong and proven senior profile
• Solid expertise in Java backend development, with clean, scalable, and production‑grade code
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure on Azure (architecture, deployment, services)
• Strong knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and workload management
• Experience with Kafka for event‑driven and distributed systems
• Comfortable working across infra/DevOps topics — this is not just a pure dev role
• Fluent English, ideally C1 or above – you’ll be working directly with UK stakeholders and must be able to technically challenge at all levels
