Laboratory superintendent

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To maintain resources in the Laboratory in order to provide quality and reliable results to our clients in a safe manner while complying to all policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent is essential Chemistry Diploma/Degree or NQF Equivalent is essential Minimum 5 years working experience in an Analytical Chemistry Laboratory is essential COMPETENCIES General Laboratory Practice Previous supervisory experience Safety principles MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) Communication Skills Supervisory Skills Interpersonal Skills DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reports accurate results to the clients within required turn‑around time. Ensures that the safety objective is maintained (E.g. zero LTIFR record). Ensures that environmental non‑conformances are eliminated by complying to the legal requirements. e.g. H2 S scrubber maintenance ISO (14001) and Pb O regulation.
