Laboratory Technician
Assemble, adapt, and operate test setups for clients, ensuring optimal execution and accurate evaluations based on instructions from engineering department.
- Examine simple customer samples, interpret blueprints and schematics, and follow test plans to assess performance.
Document and communicate results effectively in detailed reports.
- Operate designated machines (climate chambers, universal machines) and special laboratory equipment (micrometer, multimeter, optical comparator, vernier), perform routine maintenance, and may assist with basic calibrations.
- Communicate with clients to align testing methods, results and/or setups with their needs if necessary.
- Propose new equipment designs and solutions for test challenges, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Accurately record and report data on appropriate UL forms to engineering department, offering insights and interpretations as guided by laboratory management.
