Leading Hand For Cutter Suction Dredger

Responsibilities

• Supervise deck crew and ensure safe, efficient dredging operations.
• Coordinate daily tasks such as pipeline handling, anchor positioning, and cutter head support activities.
• Assist the Dredge Master and Chief Engineer in executing dredging plans and maintaining production targets.
• Monitor equipment condition and report faults or abnormalities promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and conduct toolbox talks.
• Actively participate in maintenance of floating pipelines, winches, and anchors.
• Guide crew during shifting, spudding, and swing operations.
• Maintain effective communication with operators and engine room staff.
• Promote discipline and teamwork among crew members.
• Ensure proper housekeeping standards are maintained on deck.
