Responsibilities
- Classify merchandise according to customs government regulations, restrictions, and import/export duty rates.
- Fill entry forms based on commodity.
- Interface with customers on customs-related issues.
- Type or otherwise prepare various operations reports.
- Maintain and audit all records and files as assigned.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to Manager.
- Help lift and move packages within the bonded area when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Previous clerical or customer service experience in a service environment.
- Eighteen months experience in customs clearance broker activities.
- Knowledge of import and export duty rates.
- General office skills including light typing, filing, and computer literacy.
