In this role, you will be responsible for improving the quality of product and press efficiency for our Columbus, Ohio facility. This position will work 3:00pm - 11:15pm, Monday through Friday. Machine Operator Forging - Second Shift Walor North America is looking for a Shear Machine Operator to join its Billet Prep team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the quality of product and press efficiency for our Columbus, Ohio facility. This position will work 3:00pm - 11:15pm, Monday through Friday. What you will do
- Operation of machine and secondary equipment, including feeding material manually
- Loading of steel into sawing equipment as required using overhead crane
- Material handling with a forklift
- Support department personnel and tasks
- Measuring/Documenting of product produced to ensure quality standards
- Performing required operator level maintenance tasks
- Assisting maintenance during major breakdowns
- Sorting non-conforming product (as required)
- Cleaning equipment and surrounding areas
