Machine Operator II

Job Summary:

NC/CNC Machine Operator II uses computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to cut and shape machine parts and precision products. Sets up CNC machinery set up for production runs. Ensures the machine has the proper computer program and necessary tools installed. All machinery must be monitored for any problems during the production run. This may require adjusting the program or escalating the issue for resolution. After items have been produced, CNC Machine Operators ensure all parts meet specifications and verify their quality.

Responsibilities

" Reads, understands, and interprets engineering drawings.

" Plans work assignments, studying drawings, engineering drawings, and manuals.
