Mail Orderly

Position Title: Mail Orderly (MO) Location:  Naval Station Rota, Spain Key Responsibilities: Receive, sort, and dispatch official and personal mail in compliance with DoD and USPS standards.

Assign and manage mail receptacles and virtual mailboxes for command personnel.

Maintain directory services, forwarding addresses, and locator files for all assigned patrons.

Ensure compliance with security procedures, including restricted access to UMR and regular lock/combination changes.

Transport mail to and from Fleet Mail Center (FMC) Rota using a government-owned vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a U.S.

citizen.

Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 70 lbs; prolonged standing, walking, and bending required.

Knowledge/Skills: Familiarity with DoD, OPNAV, NAVSUP, and USPS postal regulations.

Ability to maintain locator files, directories, and supportive material.
