Role Description
Mainframe Engineer – Lead II, Software Engineering.
Responsible for analysis, development, enhancement, and production support of enterprise mainframe applications built with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, and VSAM. Requires end‑to‑end SDLC ownership on both batch and online systems.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications.
- Work on both batch and online applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS.
- Participate in requirements analysis, development, unit testing, and defect fixes.
- Handle production support, issue analysis, and resolution.
- Perform impact analysis and support enhancements and minor projects.
- Follow coding standards and ensure quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and support releases.
- 8‑10 years of hands‑on experience in mainframe technologies.
