Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Plaistow, London
Salary: £55,700
Shift: Days (7 am‑3 pm, Monday‑Friday)
Role Overview
Join a large, well‑structured site with over 40 engineers on‑site. Supported by progression and training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment, including:
- Conveyors, belts, bearings
- Labellers, weighers
- Sensors, relays, drives
- PLC fault finding (not programming)
- Planned preventive & reactive maintenance (PPM)
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline (essential)
- Strong fault‑finding and mechanical/electrical skills
- Background in heavy industry, FMCG, or food processing sectors
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Adaptable to refinery and packing areas (training provided for packing)...
