Job Summary

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Maintenance Operative at Braintree Mews Care Home. The role focuses on ensuring the building and grounds remain well maintained, performing routine maintenance tasks, managing service checks, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems. The position supports new residents, performs general repairs, and participates in an on‑call rota for out‑of‑hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs, including electrical, plumbing, joinery, and building tasks inside and outside the Home.
• Support new residents in arranging their rooms.
• Ensure routine re‑decoration is undertaken to maintain high standards.
• Advise on the supply and quality of maintenance items and ensure timely ordering of replacement goods.
