SUMMARY:
To manage the section responsible for capital projects for the built environment of the University of Fort Hare.
POSITION INFO:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Manages Projects and Planning. Financial Planning & Budgeting. Organisational unit staff management. Manages Infrastructure / Built Environment Capital Projects Planning. Engineering Project Management. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 4 Year degree (NQF 8) in Civil Engineering / Architecture /Quantity Surveying. PrEng/PrEngTech or SACQSP (Quantity Surveyor ) or SACAPSA (Architecture). 6 years minimum experience in the Built Environment and Environment maintenance planning. 2 - 3 years managerial experience. ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES: Experience as a principal agent on a construction project (knowledge of contracts & legal requirements). Experience in a higher education context. OSHA Certification.
