The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with its mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. The Centre for Protective Security (CPS) was operationalised to support the implementation of the Infrastructure Protection Act (IPA) and the Security Industry Transformation Map (SITM). CPS’s key functions include Infrastructure Protection Regulation, Capability Development, Protective Engineering and collaboration with public and private stakeholders to reinforce the IPA and improve the security industry. The Training & Development (T&D) Branch in CPS oversees training approaches, strategies, curriculum and professional development for officers and trainers.
