Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate manual lathes to produce custom parts according to blueprints or technical drawings.
• Select and install proper tools and materials for each job.
• Measure and inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, verniers and other precision instruments.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and work orders to determine machining operations.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Deburr, clean, and finish parts as required.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
