Responsibilities
- Check safety standards and systems, and suggest improvements where needed
- Work with the Marine Manager to make sure vessels meet international maritime standards
- Help finalise commercial agreements with charter parties
- Create contingency plans and spot any discrepancies
- Keep track of certificates for all vessels, and oversee safety, nautical, and commercial operations
- Spot risk areas and work with the technical department to manage them
- Support vessel Masters during pre vetting inspections, including SIRE assessments
- Check navigation, communication, and safety equipment to make sure they are working well
- Prepare and send performance reports to clients for assigned vessels
