Job Description
Perform a variety of welding tasks to repair, modify, and install pipes, structural components, foundations, and fittings related to shipboard hydraulic, pneumatic, and water systems. Select appropriate materials and specifications for each welding operation. Fabricate and install necessary fixtures and jigs to ensure proper alignment during the welding process. This role involves heavy lifting, frequent bending or stooping, and may require working in overhead areas, confined spaces, or beneath machinery. A strong commitment to safety protocols, quality standards, and cleanliness is essential. The position also demands a high level of critical thinking and reading comprehension. Travel along with the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
•Requires no supervision/oversight. Has experience in the trade qualifications, and can perform all work required as a Welder and will provide mentoring to junior craftsman.
