Overview
Mass Properties Specialist/Engineer collects, organizes, and controls, sub-system and component data on Space, Weight and Power (SWaP). The primary responsibility of the Mass Properties Specialist/Engineer is to ensure that SWaP data is current, accurate and change controlled. The Mass Properties Specialist/Engineer supports control of SWaP at the system level by developing and managing SWaP allocations at the subsystem level.
Key Job Elements
- Develop and maintain SWaP databases, mass property metrics and vehicle power budget allocations
- Create weight targets, estimate and track part/assembly weights allocations at vehicle, system and sub-system levels
- Monitor and report SWaP data, address adverse SWaP trends and develop/assess Corrective Actions (CAs) for the assigned Program
