The Mechanical Development Engineer (MDE) – Drivetrain Systems is responsible for the design, development, and integration of drivetrain systems, including gearboxes, gears, shafts, bearings, and associated cooling and lubrication systems used within electric drive modules. The role supports cross-functional execution and customer engagement while demonstrating the capability to take on increased technical ownership as program complexity grows.


Key responsibilities

+ Design and develop drivetrain systems including gearboxes, gears, shafts, differentials, and bearings.

+ Design and integrate cooling and lubrication systems to ensure durability and thermal performance.

+ Collaborates with system integration, NVH, and durability teams to optimize driveline performance.

+ Perform system-level mechanical calculations and design trade studies.

+ Ensure effective integration with electric motors and surrounding hardware.
