**Description**
**SAIC** has an opening for an organized and motivated **Mechanical Engineer** who is looking to serve as the main mechanical point of contact (POC) for multiple torpedo test equipment modernization and development efforts with the intent of fully leading the individual efforts once enough experience and familiarity with the systems is gained. The candidate will also support smaller R&D electromechanical projects and production-related activities out of our **Middletown, RI** office.
The ideal candidate should have experience supporting various projects at all levels showcasing leadership qualities and attributes, as well as project management skills. The candidate should have the ability to discuss projects they have supported and/or led. The candidate should be able to self-manage/self-direct projects, and communicate regularly with customers, engineers, logisticians and technicians.
