Mechanical Engineer - Surveillance Radar Systems

PURPOSE OF JOB: To be responsible for / support engineering aspects of the procurement, safety management, and bringing into service of relevant ATC Systems. Typically, these will be minor / less complex systems and projects, focusing on simpler systems or specific equipment. May be required to undertake Engineering Authority roles in supporting relevant ATC Systems through the entire equipment life cycle. This role is a mechanical-focused surveillance engineering position , supporting the delivery and ongoing performance of radar and surveillance systems at UK airports . Alongside core system engineering responsibilities, you will work specifically with the mechanical and electro-mechanical elements of PSR and SSR radar systems , including antenna structures, drive and rotation mechanisms, cooling and environmental arrangements, and associated infrastructure in a safety-critical operational environment.
