The Minerals and Metals (M&M) Division team at AtkinsRéalis provides tailored engineering solutions to the mining industry, integrating environmental considerations at every stage of a mining project—from initial engineering phases through construction, closure, and post‑closure monitoring.

Your Role

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer leads multidisciplinary teams in designing tailings containment structures. Supported by junior and intermediate engineers and CADD designers, they are involved in all stages of design—from concept development to construction.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design of tailings facilities and related structures, including preparation and review of plans and specifications.
  • Contribute to the development of mine restoration concepts.
  • Inspect dams with junior engineers.
  • Act as Engineer of Record (EoR).
  • Lead projects (approximately 800 hours).
