MRI Technologist

Job Summary: Offering an exciting opportunity to join our Outpatient Radiology Department with responsibilities in MRI. Under the general supervision of the administrator and MRI staff, the employee performs MRI exams competently for consistent outcomes of established imaging protocols. Responsible for patient identification, reviews MRI screening form for patients to safely enter the MRI suite, obtaining patient history, giving explanations of exams and procedures to be performed, patient positioning, setting up protocols for the scans and performs intravenous contrast injections on patients (per NYS injection certification). Must have knowledge of age specific dosing for MRI. Responsible for QA procedures, performing research projects under the direction of physicians. Reviews images for technical and diagnostic quality and correct labeling of images. Uses a PACS system. Responsible for billing and tracking of patients utilizing the EPIC System.
