The Plumber, under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor or Manager, maintains the integrity and safety operation of the plumbing, drain lines and all other piping systems in the hospital and performs new construction as required.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per computer issued preventative maintenance work orders
Maintain water fixtures/devices, pumps, valves and plumbing drainage systems
Survey and monitor water supply and drainage to ensure proper operations
Perform routine and emergency repairs on systems and equipment per repair requests (demand maintenance work orders)
Conduct building and equipment plumbing, piping and safety inspections
Fill out preventative and demand maintenance work orders and inspection logs in a complete and timely manner
Maintain the organization of the plumbing shop, including stocking of parts, cleanup, etc.
