Overview

The University of St Andrews is Scotland’s first university, founded in 1413. Like the University, its Libraries and Museums are rooted in and draw inspiration from this 600-year history of research and teaching, and the pursuit of knowledge for the common good.

We steward and share the University’s nationally- and internationally-important collections, we are an active partner in University research and teaching, and we engage people everywhere with the intellectual and cultural life of St Andrews.
