Job Summary

Perform hands-on work in aquaculture facilities and marine harvest operations to support production and harvesting activities. Maintain equipment, handle stock, and follow safety and environmental procedures to ensure product quality.

Main Duties

• Feed, monitor and inspect fish or shellfish for health, growth, and signs of disease or mortality.
• Operate, clean and maintain nets, pens, cages, tanks and associated aquaculture equipment; perform routine repairs as needed.
• Assist with harvesting, sorting, grading, packing and loading of aquaculture products for transport.
• Deploy, retrieve and inspect gear from boats or shore, and perform basic underwater or deck tasks as required.
• Record production data, stock counts and observations accurately and report issues to supervisors.
