Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Program Director, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, and as part of the multi-disciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for
Applying advanced nursing and medical theory to the provision of clinical care, autonomously ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmacologic agents and performing minor invasive procedures.
Applying current/relevant nursing and medical theory, which allows for contribution to knowledge, development and involvement in advancing the nursing profession.
Incorporating medical knowledge and advanced nursing knowledge; integrating this knowledge and experiential base into clinical practice.
