Nurse Practitioner

The purpose of this position is to maintain, improve, restore and optimize the health status of clients within the ambulatory care services of PCH. This position may require some flexible shifts i.e. evenings and weekends on occasion.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive, focused health assessments including a health history and physical examination using a holistic framework and multiple assessment techniques relevant to a client’s stage of development, culture and health.
• Determine the need, order, and interpret the results of relevant screening and diagnostic tests; analyze assessment data by systematically comparing and contrasting clinical, behavioural and diagnostic data to determine differential and working diagnosis.
• Determine, communicate and document health findings as well as medical and nursing diagnoses of specific diseases, disorders or health conditions.
