About the Role
Livewell South West is looking for OOA Prevention Nursing Assistants to support patients who require 1:1 care. The role involves assisting trained nurses with physical, social and psychological care for patients/clients with mental health problems who are admitted to an LWSW mental health unit. The primary focus is to support patients during acute illness to prevent them being sent out of area and to enable care close to home.
Main Duties
- Work within all Mental Health wards of LWSW, including assignment across services on short notice.
- Adapt to flexible shift patterns, including nights, to provide 24/7 service (e.g., 7–3pm, 9–5, 12–8pm, 8–8pm, nights).
- Support patients on a 1:1 basis, assist with risk management and therapeutic activities as directed by the registered nurse.
