Nutritionist Degree

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager of the Health Mother Healthy Baby Program, the Nutritionist provides ongoing support, consultation, and education for Healthy Mother Healthy Baby staff regarding nutrition and the nutritional status of their clients. As part of this role, the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program requires the services of a registered dietitian to provide ongoing training of staff in the delivery of the program and to ensure the elements of a comprehensive prenatal nutrition program are incorporated.

Qualifications

• Education: Dietetic Internship certificate; Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr)).
• Other Education: Bachelor of Dietetics is acceptable.
• Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work independently; ability to work as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team.
