Responsibilities

• Ensuring that funds are committed to suppliers on the basis of safety, innovation, quality, service and price.
• Day‑to‑day transactional purchasing, reorder, expediting of goods and services.
• Compiling and monitoring purchasing metrics from data extraction and standard reports.
• Identification of potential opportunities for purchase order consolidation, reducing/optimising supplier roles.
• Use of electronic purchasing tools (Pronto, purchase orders, expedite, reverse auction, e‑commerce system).
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers.
• Coordinate the movement of rotable spare items to ensure costs/inventory accuracy and processes are maintained.
• Coordinate and action purchasing strategies for bulk consumables.
