Packing Carpenter
Responsibilities
- Construct and secure materials to make framework and wood containers.
- Build or fix cabinets, doors, structures, floors, and other wooden components used in buildings, using woodworking equipment, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures at ground level or above.
- Shape or cut materials to defined measurements using hand tools, devices, or power saws.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Remove damaged or defective components or sections of frameworks and repair or replace them using hand tools.
- Inspect ceiling or flooring tiles, wall treatments, siding, glass, or woodwork to identify damaged or broken structures.
- Move needed materials around the job site as assigned.
- Clean up worksite debris.
